Savorible takes you from an empty account to a recipe someone can cook in four steps. Each one has its own article if you want the detail; this is the map.
The four steps
- Create your food blog. Give it a name. Create your food blog
- Write a recipe. Open the editor and type straight onto the page. Add your first recipe
- Preview it. Check it the way a reader will see it. Preview a recipe
- Publish. Put the recipe on your blog. Preview and publish your first recipe
Finding your way around
The header carries four links — Create post, Edit content, Analytics and Profile — and your blog’s name, which takes you back to the dashboard home. On a phone the same destinations, plus Recipe tags under Edit content, are behind the menu button at the top left. Analytics stays in that menu rather than in the header.
- Your blog’s name — the dashboard home, with recent posts and your blog’s public address.
- Create post — always in the header, even before you have written anything. Choose Create Recipe or Create Blog Post.
- Edit content — your existing posts, About page, and social links. Open Edit posts for the list of blog posts and recipes. Filter with All posts, Published and Drafts. The About page is not a post.
- Analytics — traffic on your public blog.
- Profile — your blog’s tagline. Author bio, photo and the About page live under Edit about page; social links have their own tab.
The rest is under Account, on the right of the header:
- Settings — your blog’s name, web address and who can visit, under General; your logo and accent colour under Appearance.
- Account — your email and password, and under Billing your trial, subscription and invoices.
- Help — articles, and a way to get in touch.
- Sign out.
What you get before paying
A new food blog can be built for 30 days without a card. You can write as many recipes as you like in that time. Publishing them to the web is what a subscription pays for — and if you subscribe during the trial, you are not charged until the trial would have ended anyway.
