Create your food blog

Name your blog after the first post. The web address can still change while the blog is private. It cannot be changed once the blog is published or made public.

Your food blog is created as soon as you sign up. It starts private, with a web address taken from your email, so you can write before you pick a public name.

Create the blog

  1. Sign up with your email, a password, and the Terms. Savorible creates a private food blog for you and takes you to the dashboard.
  2. The setup tracker asks you to Name your blog, Add About section, and Write your first post, in any order. Name your blog sets the name in your blog’s header, such as Nadia’s Table. The web address is taken from that name, so Nadia’s Table is served at /nadias-table.
  3. Leave the product-updates box ticked if you want occasional tips and offers, or untick it. That choice is separate from the Terms you already agreed to.
  4. You can change the blog name later in Settings. The web address follows the name while the blog is private. It cannot be changed once the blog is published or made public.

The dashboard then shows a setup tracker under the navigation. The three steps are Name your blog, Add About section, and Write your first post. They can be finished in any order. When all three are done, the tracker offers Make your blog public. Branding and author bio stay optional.

Changing these later

The food blog name and who can visit your blog live at Settings. The web address is taken from the name while the blog is still private, and cannot be changed once the blog is published or made public. The tagline lives at Profile. The About page, author name and author bio live under Edit content. You can see the address on the dashboard.

Who can visit your blog

The author name and bio

Author display name is the name printed on every recipe, under the title. It starts as your blog’s name. Change it on Edit about page if you want recipes to show a person instead.

Author bio is a short note about who is cooking. It appears on the About page and at the end of published posts and recipes. You can add a photo of yourself on the same Edit about page tab. Optional social profile URLs are on Edit social links, and show as icons under the bio and in the footer. The bio is optional, and missing it does not count as unfinished setup.
